Our Story

Amani Pay was born from a simple observation: trust is the biggest barrier to commerce in Kenya. Too many buyers have been burned by paying upfront, only to receive substandard goods or nothing at all. Too many sellers have shipped products, never to receive payment.

Founded in Nairobi in 2023, we set out to solve this problem. Our name, "Amani" – meaning peace in Swahili – reflects our core mission: to bring peace of mind to every transaction.

Today, we're proud to serve over 50,000 Kenyans, from Mombasa to Kisumu, from bustling Nairobi markets to rural communities accessing our services via USSD. Every transaction we secure brings us closer to our vision of a Kenya where everyone can buy and sell with confidence.
